The PMP® Exam Is Evolving — Be Ready for the July 9, 2026 Update

On July 9, 2026, PMI launches a refreshed PMP® exam built for how projects actually run today. The last day to sit for the current exam is July 8, 2026. Whichever exam you target, you’ll train with curriculum that’s already aligned to the 2026 changes — so you walk in confident and prepared.

Good News: Your Hours Count With Us
Starting late Q4 2026, PMI requires that your 35 hours of live training come from a PMI Authorized Training Partner (ATP), China REP, or an eligible accredited academic program. IT Industry Tools is a PMI Authorized Training Partner (ATP) — so every contact hour you earn in our live classes counts toward your eligibility, now and after the new rules take effect.

What’s New on the 2026 PMP® Exam

This isn’t a cosmetic refresh. The 2026 exam rewards project managers who can lead people, deliver real value, and adapt to a fast-changing world. Here’s what’s changing — and why it works in your favor.

Modern, In-Demand Content

Expect fresh coverage of AI, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement, with a sharper focus on outcomes and delivering measurable value — the exact skills employers are hiring for right now.

Rebalanced Domains

The exam now weighs People 33%, Process 41%, and Business Environment 26% — a balanced blend of leadership, technical execution, and strategic thinking.

Predictive, Agile AND Hybrid

You’ll be tested across predictive, agile, and hybrid approaches, mirroring how real teams actually deliver projects today.

A More Realistic Exam Day

180 questions in 240 minutes, with more interactive, scenario-based items that reward judgment over memorization.

Easier to Qualify

Eligibility stays at 3–5 years of project experience, and the experience window is now extended to a generous 10-year period — so more of your career counts.

Train With Confidence

Our live, instructor-led PMP® prep is built around the 2026 blueprint. Learn the new material the right way the first time — and earn ATP-eligible contact hours that count.
